Coffee Fields
The coffee plants, fertilizer, and production processes contribute significantly to environmental sustainability. The coffee plants are grown in volcanic soils, which are naturally fertile and require fewer chemical inputs. The high altitude and cold winds stress the plants, enhancing their nutrient absorption and resulting in a richer, more flavorful coffee. This method of cultivation helps maintain the health of the soil and reduces the need for synthetic fertilizers.
Our farmers conduct thorough soil studies for each hectare, crafting custom fertilizers based on the results. This meticulous approach ensures a balanced cup and healthy trees, avoiding the over-exploitation of minerals already present in the soil. However, the innovative techniques we are exploring with our coffee roasters are focus on minimizing these impacts.
